Launch ME

Yesterday, 545 & Co. took a little road trip down to Portland, ME to participate as finalists in the Maine League of Young Voters' Launch ME event party! More than 1,700 votes were cast to determine the five projects who would participate in the final event, where they would be given a chance to win $500! (BIG love, everybody! We thank you for all your votes.)

It was a beautiful spring night in the city and a most opportune time to visit and partake in one of Portland's First Friday Art Walks! We had a great time meeting the other participants and came away inspired by their youth-led projects and passion to improve our communities and make Maine an even better place to live. We are so grateful to The Maine League of Young Voters for setting up Launch ME and are thankful to have had the opportunity to talk with Portlanders about growing art in our terrific island community.

Art Van is an established mobile arts therapy program that provides the arts to children and teens in low income neighborhoods that have little, if any, access to social services, after school and/or summer activities.
